Everything Costs Something

For this week we are trying to manage our budget and make sure we are not going to spend out of what we can afford. There are a lot of bits and pieces we need to buy. So we are managing our time of when we will get the parts and how much money we are willing to spend. Our first task is going to buy all the heavy material that is needed for the trailer frame. This will be a lot of where our budget goes into and after we buy this we will have almost all the materials needed for the project. The really good news about these parts is that our mentor is willing to help us obtain them. He has told us that he has a supplier that gives him the best prices available, which will greatly diminish how much money we are spending. In the next week or two we are planning to buy all of these materials from this supplier. One of our biggest concerns about this project was going to be our budget. Building a trailer is not an easy task, especially on our wallets. But the good thing about this is that we have a ranch owner, related to one of our group members, who is willing to pay for some of the parts being that it will be there trailer. But also we as a group have tight knit families and friends who are willing to support us on our project. They understand that we are going to learn so much from experience which is why they give us support. We are going to set up a Go Fund Me account to allow caring people to help support this project financially. What we accomplished this week was finding out where our parts for the project would come from and took action into regards of financial support for the project. We still have to buy a lot of parts and start putting them all together to form the dream of our project. We worked as a team to come up with ways to pay for the project, as well as reached out to our resources and mentors for help. We did a very good job on using what was available to us so that we accomplish tasks the most efficient and smart way. What we could have done better is coming up with more creative ideas to help raise money for this project and looked for a broader range of people who might support us.
