Problem Solved

From the beginning of this project we have been trying to find a place to build the trailer. We came up with multiple ideas but none of them seemed to make any sense because of how difficult some aspect of the build would be. Then recently we found the perfect place. Throughout the month of June, we have been in contact with a mentor named Jim Blackburn who has the facility and equipment to help us reach our goal of building a dump trailer. We connected with him through family friends and Mr. Blackburn was very excited to help us on this project. He owns a company that builds trailers and he and his son run the shop. They manufacture all sorts of trailers, from livestock trailers, utility trailers, goose neck trailers, and many other types. We were lucky enough to be able to tour their shop and discovered they have various different types of equipment, including plasma tables, mig welders, torches, grinders, band saws, car lifts, leveled platforms, safety equipment, and any other tool necessary for the manufacturing process. He and his son are willing to teach us how to, and let us, use their equipment to construct our trailer. We are now lucky enough to be guided by an experienced mentor who can insure we are doing it the right way and give us the benefit of his experience. This not only instruct us on how everything works, which is one of our end goals, but provides a safe environment in which to work and insures the trailer will be completely safe and roadworthy. We are extremely excited and thankful for this opportunity and are going to put all of our effort into learning everything we can on our path to accomplishing our end goal.
